About Our Church
"Jesus is The Gate for Restoration"sm
We are a Network of House Church movement that plants the New Testament Churches in people's homes and those who desire to open their houses for church plants are trained, equipped, and ordained as Pastors (Shepherd) of the Home Church fellowship.
The goal of every house church leader is to reproduce leaders, by developing disciples who make disciples and plant other churches. We believe our life's journey should be focused on fulfilling The Great Commission Mandate from Jesus Christ as disciples of Jesus Christ. This is at the heartbeat of everything we do here at OneGATE Church Network.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ gave the vision to plant a Network of House Churches just like the ones He created in the New Testament early churches. These are the church that meets in people's homes for the edification of the body of Christ. The Believers and their friends, neighbors, and acquaintances gathered in someone’s home to pray, worship, break bread, and grow into fully committed disciples of Jesus.
Our House Churches tend to be small in number which enables intimacy, bonding, and a family unity within the church body. In our House Church, everyone knows you by name.
Our Purpose
Fulfilling the Great Commission mandate; proclaiming the good news of Jesus's love for all mankind; planting reproducing house churches in our communities and to the nations.
Our Vision
Restoring the early house church way of life into this generation; loving God, loving people, and reconciling cultures.
Our Mission
To elevate kingdom culture over our earthly cultures by living as one in Christ, living life together through the interdependent network of house churches; making disciples who make other disciples in our communities and nations.
Our Value
We want to be people who are devoted to worshiping Jesus. We want to carve out time daily to be alone for prayer and Bible reading. We make out time to join others in praying and studying His Word. We regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper and can’t stop thanking Him for His mercy. These are not obligations we try to squeeze in, but cravings that we can’t live without. We don’t require gifted communicators or musicians; we just love to worship Jesus even in the most basic settings. It is the Object of worship that makes worship exciting to us.
- Loving People
Our goal is not only to get along but to love each other to the extent that Christ loved us, and to be united to the extent that the Father is one with the Son. The body of believers is supposed to be closer to us than our own families (Matt. 12:46, Luke 14:26). Jesus said that "all people will know you are my disciples if you have a love for one another" (John 13:35). He also prayed that his disciples would be so "perfectly one" that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus (John 17:20-23). We want to be people who love each other deeply and show this through our sacrifice. We seek a bond that surpasses that of our natural families and is only possible because of our common fellowship with Jesus. We share our possessions and our lives with each other. We seek to obey all of the “one another” commands in Scripture. Christ wants us to be known for our love, because our love and unity would cause others to believe in Him.
- Making Disciple Makers
We want our people to become fully trained for greater works of service. We believe that all believers are called to be disciple-makers. No one should come as a consumer, but all should come as servants. The Holy Spirit has given each of us a gift that is to be used for building up the body. We want our leaders to teach us how to lead and help us develop in character through their modeling and teaching. Our goal is that each one of us becomes like Christ, and develop the ability to lead others to Him, make disciples, and plant churches.
- Evangelism
We want to be people with supernatural character, focused on sharing the gospel with neighbors and coworkers. We want to be people who are not focused on survival or higher standards of living but devoted to the mission. For some, this will mean going to foreign countries to teach the Word of Christ where it has not been heard. For others, this means supporting those who have gone. For everyone, it means sharing the gospel regularly.
Our Mandate Statement
We are followers of Jesus called with a direct mandate to go and Plant Churches the WAY HE Created the Early Church years into this present Generation. The members meet in people houses; we have open meetings with everyone participating. We sing praises to Jesus and seek to build up one another in love.
Everyone participates in dialog, not monolog pulpit top-down preaching ‘Man of God” super anointed monolog. We read the Bible together and discuss it informally. Anyone who wants to participate joins in the reading and the discussion. All things are done in an orderly manner with respect to the House Church.
We pray for each other, other family churches in our Network, the body of Christ, families, friends, and neighbors; we pray for our nation and the world. We minister to one another through praise songs, prophetic words, the gifts of the Spirit, and through material aid as the Lord leads. We often have fellowship meals together; potlucks are encouraged from those that are able and we celebrate the Lord's Supper.
We are members of One Body, One Christ, One Church, following the instructions of apostle Paul in I Cor. 14:26 about how to meet. "When you come together everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church."
We believe that God's provision for church leadership is through self-supporting elders/pastors/shepherds trained right in the local church as servant leaders. We love one another, are fully accountable to one another, help one another, and are willing to pour out our lives for each other.
The church is the people and not the building, not a business organization, not secularized like a money-making programmatic merchant corporation. We are the Church, the people of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay for our sins.
When we grow too large for the space we have, we raise leaders to start another church in another house. The church that meets at people's houses is a simple house that multiplies that build up leaders to go plant reproducing churches with a vision to give birth to another church.
We fully expect that every church birthed out of this one will also be "a reproducing church!"
We seek to relate to the whole body of Christ within our locality and not just to those who attend our fellowship. Since we are all members of one another, we encourage all who come to this gathering to attend other meetings of the body of Christ as the Holy Spirit directs. We are submitted to spiritual authority wherever it crosses our path.
We do not believe in "selective submission" which says, in essence, "I am submitted to this group or that leader and no other." All the "one another" verses in the writings of Paul were addressed to the city-wide church and not to a local congregation, therefore we submit to all the saints and all the elders/pastors within the city-wide church. We are responsible to God and one another to fulfill all our commitments about service within the body of Christ.
Reproducing Church Planting is a vision to form churches everywhere to fulfill the Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship, and world mission. The house church is an effective tool to evangelize and disciple the communities and a vehicle to reach out to all nations. We invite you to "come over and help us!"
House Church Groups
House Churches Are Simple and Intimate:
Meeting in homes creates a family bond with the group members and deepens the relationship with each other. The Groups are intimately connected while encouraging each other to fulfill their God gives purpose by using their diverse gift to build up each other. House gatherings eliminate the financial burden of church buildings, staff, and salaries. Hence more resources are abundantly available to meet the needs of those within the church and for missional purposes in the communities and the nations.
